

Renee Davis is an award-winning designer and artist, specializing in silversmithing. Her work incorporates gold, semiprecious stones and other intriguing elements. Renee's jewelry art is truly one of a kind, each piece born of a design and crafted by experience. Each piece reflects the time and care she gives to ensure its individuality. Renee draws upon centuries-old processes as well as new techniques to create pieces of art to be admired and enjoyed.
Renee developed an early interest in many artistic media. As her creative personality matured, Renee began designing jewelry in 1999. After several years of design growth, Renee's passion is now focused on metalsmithing. Texturing and dimension are characteristic style elements in Renee's designs, as are unusual stones and a variety of techniques using enamel, colored pencils, concrete and fossils. In addition to metalsmithing, Renee is skilled in cloisonne enameling, chasing and reppouse techniques, forging and etching. Her jewelry making talents also include the use of precious metal clay and precious and semiprecious stones.
Renee lives in Palmetto, Florida and is a member of the American Craft Council, the Florida Goldsmiths Society, Florida Craftsmen, Inc., Art Center Manatee, Morean Art Center St. Petersburg and exhibits her work throughout Florida. Renee is passionate about her art and shares her knowledge through teaching at local art centers and at her studio. She engages in artistic studies with local artists and jewelers, as well as extensive self-studies in jewelry making techniques.
